Enjoying being outside my comfort zone!

A very different viewpoint

I’m back home after my first ever commentating job at Herning2022 for the World Championships! I'd never done anything like this so naturally I thought I'd start with the biggest competition I could think of!

My Herning goody bag!

It felt so strange being in that environment in such a different role. I had to learn everything from scratch and try my best not to look or sound like an idiot, but I really enjoyed the new challenge, stepping outside my comfort zone and hopefully helping to promote Para Dressage along the way.

I saw some epic performances during the week, including watching Charlotte Fry win Gold in the Dressage and experience the crazy atmosphere while she did it. It was great to be able to watch the performances and huge congratulations to the British Equestrian team as always, and to my friend and team mate Sophie Wells, whose journey I get to be part of every day. She may or may not have reduced me to tears after her individual silver on the first day!

Thank you to FEI.tv for the opportunity and also the FEI Media House and Clip my Horse team for taking me under their wing and making it so much fun. And to the riders and viewers for their messages and support through the week.

It’s exciting to be home and can’t wait to get back riding and up my game as we build up to Paris 2024.
