Team

Although on the day there is only the rider and horse in the arena, it really does take a huge team to make this happen. Erin is extremely grateful to have built up such a strong team and would like to thank each and every one of them for their commitment and time: “I really couldn't do it without them.”

Lady joseph trust

The Lady Joseph Charitable Trust acquired LJT Diamond Crusador (Loki) for Erin in March 2019. The trust was formed in 2009 from funds allocated for charitable purposes from the estate of Lady Joseph, the grandmother of Henrietta Cheetham, an international dressage rider. Henrietta’s admiration for the Team GBR para riders and their incredible success on the international stage, led her to form the charity, the aim of which is to acquire horses for our top Para-Riders to ensure they continue to win medals for Great Britain. In 2022 Loki was sold on and proceeds from the sale were used to purchase LJT Hawtins Bellaria (Belle) at the end of 2023.

Lynne and David Orford

From instigating her love of horses when they took her to RDA classes from the young age of two, Erin’s parents and older brother Matthew have been an instrumental part of her journey. As well as financial support they’ve invested a huge amount of time into assisting with the constant demands of training and competition.

Previous Support

Every single person who has been part of Erin’s journey not only played a valuable part in her previous success but has contributed to the knowledge and career Erin has today. Erin is incredibly grateful to have had a number of talented experts supporting her throughout her journey.

Stephen Moore

Stephen Moore - Trainer

A talented rider in his own right, Stephen has worked and trained all over Europe and has ridden and competed internationally at Grand Prix level, representing Great Britain on Nations Cup teams. Erin trained with Stephen from 2014 until relocating to Lincoln at the end of 2019.

Annie Hunter-Blair - Owner of dior (pimms)

Annie joined the team in 2015 when she kindly offered Erin the ride on Dior (Pimms) after competing her up to Medium level, and she has enjoyed travelling all over the world to support them both as a combination. Based in Herefordshire, Annie trains riders of all ages and abilities as well as taking in horses for schooling.

Bridget Bazell - Physio

Bridget is an ACPAT Chartered Physiotherapist at Anna Johnson & Associates and worked with Erin to ensure that Pimms and all of her horses are in peak condition in order to perform their best.

Ben Wakeling - Vet

Ben Wakeling BSc BVMS MRCVS is the Equine Clinical Director at Wendover Equine having joined the practice in 2003. Ben qualified in 1996 from Glasgow university and then worked at Liphook Equine Hospital for several years, specialising in equine anaesthesia and intensive care therapy before becoming a First Opinion Assistant.

He worked closely with the Equestrian Team GBR World Class Squad who were always quick to praise the quality of his work.
